Cadence's multiphysics system analysis (MSA) portfolio grew in both depth and breadth throughout 2024. Across electromagnetics (EM), signal and power integrity (SI/PI), thermal and electronics cooling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and data center digital twinning, we offer in-design analysis (IDA) solutions that streamline workflows by integrating multiphysics analyses directly into design platforms for electronic and mechatronic systems to improve quality of results (QoR) and expedite turnaround time (TAT).
2024 select highlights include:
Millennium Enterprise Multiphysics Platform
The Millennium M1 launch event on February 1 showcased industry leaders from Honda, Stanford, GE, Vernova, Boeing, and Stellantis discussing how critical CFD is to breaking through design challenge barriers in the design of automobiles, airplanes, and energy systems.
The Millennium Enterprise Multiphysics Platform stands as the industry's first hardware/software (HW/SW) accelerated digital twin solution for multiphysics system design and analysis. The first-generation Millennium M1 accelerates high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations, delivering up to 100X design impact through accuracy, speed, and scale and dramatically improving simulation efficiency by 20X over traditional high-performance computing (HPC).
Celsius Studio
Concurrent with DesignCon 2025, a Celsius Studio launch event on January 31 showcased industry leaders from Samsung and Microsoft and how they rely upon Cadence to break through design challenge barriers with Celsius in-design analysis. Additionally, Cadence's shift-left strategy was demonstrated on the show floor to highlight how we can help designers discover and resolve thermal integrity issues earlier in the design process, fostering productivity and speeding time to market for electronic products. Celsius Studio is the industry's first complete AI thermal design and analysis solution for electronic systems. It addresses thermal analysis and thermal stress for 2.5D and 3D-ICs and IC packaging, in addition to electronics cooling for PCBs and complete electronic assemblies. Celsius Studio is a unified platform that lets electrical and mechanical/thermal engineers concurrently design, analyze, and optimize product performance without the need for geometry simplification, manipulation, and/or translation.
Reality Digital Twin Platform
Introduced on March 18 at NVIDIA's GPU Technology Conference, the Cadence Reality Digital Twin Platform is the industry's first comprehensive digital twin solution to facilitate speed-of-light acceleration of the design, simulation, and optimization of data centers across multiple industries. The new platform virtualizes the entire data center and uses AI high-performance computing and physics-based simulation to significantly improve data center energy efficiency.
BETA CAE Systems
Increasing system complexity and time-to-market pressures from accelerating mechanical and electrical hyperconvergence (mechatronic systems), along with the digital transformation in multiple industries, are driving the need for multiphysics simulations earlier and earlier in the design cycle, often referred to as shift-left. With the acquisition of BETA CAE Systems, Cadence's multiphysics portfolio expands to include mechanical/structural analyses, which broadens our in-design analysis (IDA) offering to include multiphysics and multidomain analyses for automotive, aerospace, industrial, and healthcare markets.
Along with these major new announcements to the MSA portfolio, continued improvements, expansions, and enhancements to our existing products have also been released and include the Clarity, Celsius, EMX, Fidelity, Sigrity, and Voltus products.
